Search Duplicate Files - General Procedure
The general procedure in searching duplicate files are as
follows:

Add search path
You can add file paths with criteria e.g. include sub-folder, file types, file
size, exclude folder, search against folders.

*For Home Edition, it is able to search at most 5 network drives in single
search. For Enterprise Edition, there is not limit on the no. of network
drives to search in a time. See more on

Select search options
You can select search types e.g. duplicates (same file
content), same file name and search options e.g.
hidden folders and files.

Review search result
After search is completed, you should review search result to verify if they
are duplicates by previewing images, opening files and folders and view file
properties.

Mark files for removal
There are 2 ways to do so:
1. Checking the boxes next to the files you want to take action on it
manually.
2. Use "Smart Marker" for marking large number of files. Smart Marker allows
to mark files by date, size, file version, file name pattern and location .

Remove files
Files marked can be deleted (permanently or move to recycle bin), replaced by
hard-link (NTFS link), moved or copied to another folder. Files can also
be renamed.
