NoClone - clean up hard drives

Full of image, mp3, video, e-book files in your hard drives, image library, mp3 collection and video archive? NoClone is a duplicate file finder that can help you to identify and delete any duplicate file to recover disk space. Procedures:

1. Download a trial version. 
2. Install it. Min. requirements: Windows 9x or above on Pentium-class machine
3. Run NoClone.
4. Select your path to scan by clicking Browse button or choose from path list e.g. My documents.
5. Click Add button.
6. Click Search to start scanning for true duplicate files.
7. After a while, true duplicate files are listed in duplicates tab along with zero-size files and same-name files.
8. Click menu Result files, Smart marker to automatically select files for removal by date, size, version, file name pattern and folder.
9. Review your marked files by previewing internally and opening externally, add or change any marks you made.
10. Click menu Result files, Delete marked files, Move marked files or Copy marked files.
11. Confirm your operations.
12. Duplicate photos are cleaned up.

Mcolan: Of course the files take up more disk space - but the real cost to me is the difficulty of finding what I need quickly among the thousands of small files, among which there are duplicate files, and also modified files with the same name.

This program gives me the tools needed to quickly identify the duplicate files, which is an important step in consolidating information. The storage space is an issue, but the real benefit to me is being able to find what I need faster than before, because there is less to search.
